The Divine Mercy Holy Hour
Sunday at 3 p.m.
Chapel
Fluctuates, approximately 10
The Divine Mercy Holy Hour honors the greatest attribute of God, His Divine Mercy. Jesus told St. Faustina, “The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy.”
During this hour of prayer in the front of the Blessed Sacrament, we pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for sinners and in reparation for sin throughout the world. We also pray the rosary for world peace, sing Adoration hymns, and spend some time in silent prayer.
Father David Ziomek began this holy hour in the late ’90s and asked the lay faithful to continue this devotion when his assignment at St. Mary’s ended.
All are welcome. We meet at 3 p.m. every Sunday, because it is the hour of mercy, the hour Jesus died on the cross. Jesus said to St. Faustina, “In this hour I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of me in virtue of My Passion…it was the hour of grace for the whole world—mercy triumphed over justice.”
