The Knights of Columbus are the largest distributors of charity in the world. Anyone in need can call upon the Knights for assistance.
The Knights at St. Mary’s serve the community of Franklin. Meetings are held twice monthly in the Sacred Heart Hall.

As the strong right arm of the church, Knights of Columbus is committed to providing moral, financial, and spiritual support to our future priests and religious at all stages of their formation. The Franklin Knights present a donation to two seminarians from St. John's Seminary located in Brighton.

The Robert Simmler PGK, Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council #1847 Scholarship Winners
Congratulations to Andrew O'Neil, awarded, $3000 and Leslie Baker who was awarded $1000. Andrew is a graduate of Franklin High School and Leslie of Montrose School. Both of these accomplished students are active members of the St Mary's Parish Community. Their achievements were especially noteworthy amongst the many wonderful and talented candidates that applied for the 2024 scholarship award. We wish Andrew and Leslie the best of luck as he goes on to Providence College , and she goes to Cornell University in the fall.
The Robert Simmler PGK Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 1847 Scholarship is named in honor of Mr. Robert Simmler. He was a very active and accomplished member of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council and the Franklin Community.
