Saint Mary's Prayer and Play Group for Families of Children with Special Needs

Saint Mary’s Prayer and Play Group reaches out to families with children of all ages who have special needs, learning disabilities, handicaps, and/or health issues. The group is meant to lend support to families by fostering a sense of community while emphasizing the importance of prayer and faith in God and Jesus Christ. This is also a fun play group for the children; teenagers of the parish play with the children while parents have a chance to pray, talk, and have coffee. All faiths are welcome to this group.

Meeting days and times: Around 3rd Saturday of the month, 1 time per month, from 10:30–12:30

Location of meetings: Charter School auditorium

Total number of members: 6-12 currently

Examples of activities or ministry’s work: 1 time per month, we offer a chance for families to have a snack and drink, to play and pray together

Time commitment for a member: 1 time per month

Who is eligible to join: Any family who has a concern for their child
