Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary was formed by Mr. Frank Duff in 1921. At St. Mary’s Parish, it came into existence in 1953, under the guidance of Fr. Rudolph Masciarelli. It is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with well over 3 million active members in almost every country in the world. The Legion of Mary is, in essence, the hearts and hands of the pastor.

Total number of members: 7 active, 75 auxiliary members
Examples of activities or ministry’s work: Parishioner visitations of nursing homes, and the sick or aging at home or in the hospital. Members bring the Eucharist to those in need.
Time commitment for a member: The weekly meeting and 2 hours of definite work
Who is eligible to join: All Catholics who faithfully practice their religion
